I just installed the MI 2 piece forearm (MCTAR-17XC) and there is a bit of a wiggle on the bottom half, is this normal? Is there anything I can do to eleminate this problem?
Thanks, Andy.

It's normal, there is not a remedy I am aware of.

The only HG's that aren't going to are Free Floating ones.

Will that wiggle hurt anything?
Or will it just be anoying?
I can deal with anoying, but don't want it to damage my rifle!

If you have anything attached you can loose your zero.

from reading around other posts, it seems the MI is as good as the surefire. I wonder if you are the only one experiencing the "wiggle"?

Are you talking about free float or two piece?

With the palm of your hand, give the bottom handgaurd a good smack.   It may not be fully seated in the d ring.   My MI 2 piece guards are fit tight with no perseptable movement.   When I install  them I have to give the bottom guard a smack to get it to seat all the way.

it looks like they are both seated all the way but there is still 1/16th inch of space in between the 2 rails so they don't seat to eachother flat. But before I put them on the rifle I fitted them together and they fit flush so I am not sure why they don't now?

This is one reason why I spent the EXTRA cash for the KAC RAS
Its Rock Solid!

Maybe 100MPH tape will help out!  not kidding

Smart, thats what I should of done also, I work in a airplane modification facility, and we have a machine shop so I'm sure I can make something, I'm just not sure how to go about it!
But when nothing else works, you are right, tape is allways the best last resort!
