Sorry if this has been asked before but a search did not turn up anything. My question is, after how many rounds should an AR-15 heavy barrel be allowed to cool down. I'm concerned with long range sessions and possible damaging the barrel. Thanks!

it all depends on your rate of fire. btw I wouldn't worry unless you bump fire.

Don't worry about it unless you are shooting a match barrel or full auto.
