Are these good receivers? I know that CMMG rifles are highly regarded, but I don't see many people using their lowers. Anyone care to post opinions? I see that they have a Teflon-based finish on top of the anodization. Now, how does this affect the lower, and, more specifically, if I wanted to GunKote, does the Teflon finish affect the process at all? I also hear that CMMG is somehow related to DPMS. Are CMMG lowers simply rebadged DPMS lowers? If not, from what forgings are these machined from? Thank you. |
Back in the Day CMMG sold alot of DMPS stuff along with with there special run DPMS uppers,Now days Everything they have is Theres, its not rebadged DPMS stuff. |

CMMG is top notch, very friendly and helpful folks. I have a complete CMMG rifle, although I bought the upper and lower seperately, and pushed the pins myself to save money. I'll speculate you don't see much talk about their lowers because they are $125. Most the excitement you see is about the cheaper brands. |
