| How is it? Is it worth the $90 it costs, or in other words, does it reduce gas blowback by a noticable amount? |

You probably won't notice a difference unless you use a can in which case there is a fairly noticeable improvement. Beyond that, I do like the extra robustness of its design. I have two Gasbusters and the rest of my charging handles have the Military Big Latch installed. Stephen |

DO NOT OVERLOOK THE FACT THAT THE GAS BUSTER T-HANDLE IS A FULL HALF INCH WIDER AND QUARTER INCH DEEPER THAN THE STANDARD UNIT. ADD TO THAT THE BIG LATCH AND YOU SEE WHY THIS CHARGING HANDLE IS SO POPULAR WITH NON-SUPPRESSED WEAPONS, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH OPTICS. WHILE THE GAS BUSTER IS NICE TO HAVE ON AN AR', I CONSIDER IT AN ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL ON THE AR-10 AND SR-25 TO DEAL WITH THE TRIPLE STRONG RECOIL SPRING. THINK THAT EXTRA HALF INCH OF PURCHASE MIGHT COME IN HANDY? WES GRANT M.S.T.N. PRECISION REFLEX DEALER |

Good points all, thanks for responding! I like the fact the gas buster is heavier and more solid as opposed to a standard forged handle. When firing my younger brother's AR, I'd get a faceful of gas after each round. We aren't allowed to have flash hiders, just plain barrels and muzzle brakes; I don't know if that is part of the cause with the more extreme blowback. I'm looking to cut down on that effect with my first build. |
