Just got a TD grip for my new RRA build, and I'm having difficulty getting it installed all the way. With the supplied screw torqued down as far as I can get it, the top of the grip is flush with the frame, but it sticks out about 1/8" to the rear, leaving a gap between the front of the grip and the triggerguard as well. I've made sure the detent spring isn't binding up in its channel, any suggestions?

So I'm just SOL? It seems like it would be pretty easy to create 100% compatible accessories based on a 40-year-old blueprint. Are RRA lowers somehow out of spec?

Take it back off and "open" up the screw hole with the next size or 2 drill bit. That will allow you to shift it forward.

The hole in the grip... not in the lower receiver! I've got several on RRA and BM lowers and have no problems.

You might just want to file and sand the top of the grip instead. If you change the angle of the scew the washer that keeps the screw tight and MAKES A SEAL TO KEEP MOISTURE OUT MIGHT NOT SIT FLUSH! Take a look and see if the mark left on the washer after you tighten it down realy good makes a ring all the way around. Also check and make sure the holes in the lower and the grip are lined up so the spring for the selector isn't pinched. I had to fit my TD BG too.
