Can you tell me what new manufacture lowers do not have sear blocks?  Specifically I ask as my Colt large pin preban sp1 will not work with a new Geissele trigger.  I was going to buy another lower anyway, but want to make sure I get a brand that will work with their trigger.  I believe Bushmasters never had the block, how about RRA or?  TIA

Bushy doesn't, I think RRA does (but I'm not sure) as for the others I don't know but definetly Bushy is good to go

Are you talking about the high shelf versus low shelf, or are you purely talking about the actual block that Colt installed?

I believe that Colt were the only ones to install sear blocks, so pretty much any manufacturer should be good.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by high or low shelf.  I am referring to a block that's pinned into the lower just above the trigger.  I would assume there's a clearance issue with it if you try and install a Geissele in it. I suppose it could be dremeled?

Colt was the *only* manufacturer to install the sear block. No other companies installed them as they were never mandated by law to do so in the first place.

If I am not mistaken, the Geiselle trigger does not come in a large pin version as of yet. Also, SP1's never had a sear block. If your lower does have a block, then it is not an SP1 lower.

RRA has a high shelf, but no sear block.
We also make a NM trigger kit (AR0093NMKS)that will work in a large pin lower with the block in place.

I may be mistakenly identifying mine as a SP1.  It is a sporter lightweight ser. 001XXX range.  It definitely has a block stamped COLT.  I have been on an email list with Geissele.  They are going to come out with a large pin version, but the only word on a model for the Colts with the block is that there may be a non-adjustable model later.  I want to build a match gun and use the lower with a dedicated .22 upper.    Can you or someone explain the high shelf/low shelf thing?  It's the first time I've heard this mentioned.

If it has a block, it is definately not a SP1.
