I'm just about ready to purchase a new rifle. Want an M4 style

Currently the county I work for allows only Colt and Bushmaster for duty use. I can't afford Colt

I'll be getting a Bushmaster lower. This leaves the upper. I am considering a RRA Elite CAR UTE2 or the STAG model 2H.

Or, I could just get a complete Bushmaster rifle

Interested in pro's and cons of the models. Would like it to be able to co witness with optics I may add at a later date.

You mention only being authorized to use Bushie and Colt. Doesn't this mean that the weapon must have been assembled by Bushie or Colt, not just use a lower with the correct logo stamped in the side?

I would only use a factory built gun for duty use.

I could get away with a Bushy lower and another upper.
My department has no real armorer, the firearms instructor who does qualification doesn't really know much either
