| Will a shaved front sight base fit under a Knight Free float rail? I ordered a varminter style fsb on my 14.5" barrel and now I am not sure it will fit under the Free float. |

There are a couple gas blocks that fit under the knights. Mainly, the Knights and the PRI and maybe the LaRue. A shaved gas block from bushmaster will NOT fit under a Knights, it's too wide. You can shave it down some more, but plan on re-finishing. Best solution is to just use the right block from the start. ETA: I forgot that Troy and CMMG have small gas blocks that should also fit. I have a drawing for 0.625" micro gas blocks that are about to be machined. |
