I have a Bushmaster with a six position collapsible stock. Every once in a while when the stock is pushed to its upper limit of travel and I am pulling the charging handle back on an angle they hit and prevent me from charging the rifle. I realize part of the problem is operator error but could another collapsible stock with less play prevent this problem? Thanks.

You may be able to unscrew the buffer tube a turn or two to give you more length, but if you do make sure the tube still engages the buffer pin, it keeps it in place. Or you could rig some sort of set screw stop to keep the sliding part of the stock from coming to far forward.

That's normal... It happens from the twist on the handle while charging... Its not really a big deal and nothing to worry about...
