Will a MRFS-R 12" Rail System fit on a 16 inch carbine upper (have low pro gas block) without any stability issues?

If it's stable on a 20" barrel, then the 16" barrel won't make any difference.

I've got one on a CMMG upper with PRI lo pro gas block...it's great.

It will only work with the smallest of gas blocks.
The YHM low profile gas block won't work but the PRI Micro gas block will.

I just cut off my front sight and shaped it with a dremel tool. The rail fit over it perfectly.

I've been thinking of doing the exact same setup as what you all are talking about. I have a 16" gi contour barrel and a four-way railed gasblock.

I want to put the Samson MRFS-R over my barrel, I just didn't know what gas blocks it would fit over. It sounds like the PRI Micro GasBlock will do what I want. Are there any others that fit as well?

I don't know of any others that will fit without modification. I can say for sure that nothing from YHM will fit. We use the PRI all the time as it is light and extreamly well made. It is the best bet from everything we have seen.

I think PRI, KAC, and Larue will all fit. (MI also has one on the drawing board that will fit)
