I would like info on what is the best or some of the best lowers.  I will be putting this with a 458 socom upper.  Will any old lower do like a RRA, bushy, armalite.  I know they are good, but I just want this thing to be awesome.  I will be using a Magpul stock.  I don't want to appear like a lazy piece of trash, If someone could just point me to some info I would greatly appreciate it.  One reason I was doubting the main namebrand lowers is I read somewhere on here (don't remember where) about the buffer tubes not being mil spec on them.  I don't care to spend a lot, but I want it to be the best or close to it. Thanks.

RRA, Stag, Superior Arms, Mega, Ameetec, Bushmaster, Grizzly, Eagle Arms (Armalite's cheaper line of rifles and lowers), and others I'm forgetting are all good lowers.

You basically have to buy a logo that you like the most.

RRA and Superior are my personal favorites.

BTW, the Mil-spec term refers to the buffer tube dimensions. All this does is limit what stocks you can use if you want to upgrade later on (i.e. VLTOR, Sopmod, Colt/Stag). It has nothing to do with the actual threads or buffers as they are all interchangable between brands.

Not cheaper, just not complete assembled weapons.  Fine lowers, indeed.  I've built three of them.
