Hello,

I've been wondering if lower plays any part in the accuracy equation. Except for trigger pull of course..If I have a standard lower and I buy some fancy top dollar match upper can I expect it to work as advertised doing my part of course? Any thoughts?

It doesn't effect accuracy in any way.

A little slop between the upper and lower isn't even supposed to affect accuracy.

One well-known competative shooter has said that he could notice a little difference if there was slop between the upper and lower.  The difference he was talking about was 1/2" in group size at 600 yards.  Most humans won't have to worry about it.

If your going for points the Slop between the upper and lower matters-
-I guess thats why people also glass bed there bolt guns -to prevent movement of the reciever in the stock.

The only part of the lower that will aid your practical accuracy is the trigger.
