Model 6920: M4 government profile, 0.640 under handguards, 0.750 under FSB, 0.610 M203 notch and 0.710 to 0.750 front of FSB. Model 6721: IIRC it's a HBAR heavy barrel profile, approx. ~0.8 to 0.9 under the handguards, 0.750 under FSB and forward. Model 6520: LW barrel profile, 0.625 uniform dia. entire length. |
How about my Colt M16A2 20" barrel, should be exactly USGI. There's a slight taper under the handguards, 0.675 near the chamber down to 0.600" dia. behind the FSB. At the FSB it's 0.750". Forward of the FSB it's 0.720" and right next to the FS it's 0.700". |
 I got my M4 barrel dims from this drawing rather than actually measuring it. On the 20" govt profile I actually measured my Colt M16A2 barrel. ETA: Tried to enlarge the photo but my photo hosting won't allow it.

OK. I'll measure my Colt barrels when I get home. I have a 14.5" and a 16" (6920????). I measured two different gov't profile 20" barrels (a Colt and an EMCO) and both have a slight taper. |
Yeah, whats up with that? Ive been seeing that number posted a lot around here lately... He's probably just doing it for barrel sales... 'FREE' advertisement maybe? It would be nice though if he posts it for others to see also... |
