Quoted: Well, I just can't resist the cool factor. I'm going to do the paperwork and get a SBR.
It will be an entry gun for SWAT, so I need the best. I currently have a 16" M4. It is nice, but a little heavy and long for CQB.
I've basically narrowed it down to an 10.5" LMT upper or a POF 9" gas piston upper.
I'm hesitant to go with a new design, but the idea of a clean running M4 is enticing.
Any thoughts, experiences, or opinions welcome.
And no, I can't "get both"

Our O.C.C. (Offensive Compact Carbine) is the same weight and length as the MP-5.
It weighs 6.5lbs and is 26" long with the fixed butt stock. (I prefer the retarctable stock, when retractable is 26"). I thought you should get correct information regarding our gas piston system
since we engineered and manufacture this product.
All our barrel are heavy profile and heavy fluted to reduce heat and weight. The main goal with our gas piston system is to reduce HEAT. We also design our Predator rail barrel nut to work like a heat sink to reduce the heat around the chamber. Our barrel nut is over 1 3/4" in dia. and 1 3/4" long, with holes thru the length for cooling. Hope this information helps you.
Here's some spec's / information on our shortest gas piston system.

Here are our results when chrono testing our O.C.C. gas piston 9.25".
The barrel used was a Rock Creek 1:7 4150 Vanadium barrel blank.
The "5R" rifling should increase to about 2400 FPS avg. per Mike Rock.
We will chrono test to validate soon.
