What is the difference between the M4 RAS and the RIS? Will they both fit the M4 barrel?

not too much, just different profile in the heat shield so you can mount M4 under both but only HB under the RAS. RIS and RAS has different location for the top handguard retaining latch. and the T markings are different.

THE RIS CAME FIRST. IT WILL FIT ANY BARREL PROFILE.
THE RAS MUST BE USED WITH A BARREL THAT IS 0.835" - 0.855" IN DIAMETER JUST AFT OF THE FRONT SIGHT TOWER.

The RAS will work with skinny barrles - just not as tight.
