I believe that is the Young Mfg. flip up sight/gas block combo......Les Baer uses it on his "Thunder Ranch " Rifle.

Why? What Advantage does it offer beyond PRI, GG&G, and YHM (maybe)? That extra rail attachment looks worthless.

edit for spelling

It's the Y/M, no real advantages other than lighter weight and lower cost.  It's $99, so midpoint between the YHM and the PRI in cost.  It is aluminum construction so it adds less weight to the gun.  It's a nice piece of kit like all the Y/M equipment I've used though.  I saw one and decided to try it, and the rail is pretty much worthless.  (didn't have to try it to figure that one out)

It was my understanding that these front sights were "push-button spring operated flip-up" type, which I thought might be an additional advantage in deploying them...

The first barrel is the WOA SPR contour 18", 1-7 twist stainless.
The coyote Recce is a Krieger 16" midlength, medium contour, 1-7 twist stainless.
The Gray one is a WOA 16" Midlength stainless 1-7 medium contour.

Check your IM for pricing on the SPR

I would like the WOA fluted, KG coated, with the Ops Inc brake and collar. How much would that bad boy run? Also, is the Krieger going to yield that much better results in my rookie hands?

Dude....  I see a can, multi-cam and a JTAC upper.  I think we were seperated at birth.
Anyway here is my latest JTAC creation....

So that's where that funny scar on my hip came from!

What kind of barrel is that?  Kreiger?

I was going to have him flute this one for a little weight reduction and increased cooling, but was too impatient to wait for the flutes to be cut.  No biggie - a little more front-heavy than my m4gery, which helps with "shootability" at distance, obviously no problem with accuracy, and it only changes POI about one MOA with the can mounted - no degradation in group size - it just moves 1 moa to 5 o'clock.

(The Denny's barrel I had before moved four moa to 6 o'clock, and group sizes were 3 times as big to start with!)

My barrel is just a regular Bushmaster HBAR that was factory fluted.  It's nice if you are just shooting prone with it but I wish I would have done something a little lighter now that I've had it for a few weeks.  But that problem will be fixed after I get my SBR paper work finished and Jason builds me a CQB upper with a Noveske 10.5!!!  Then I'll start saving for a can.
What can is yours by the way?

The can is a Tibbetts (John's Guns).  VERY quiet and only 6.5" long.  Only drawback is the stainless can heats up faster than the 4150 flash-hider so it gets a little loose after a few rounds.  Hand-tighten after 10 rds and you're good to go, though.
