I would like to built or buy a 20-inch upper for long range shooting. I plan on using 62 gr and perhaps some heavier bullets 69gr or 75 gr TAP.  Would a 1:8 be sufficent?

I know this has been beaten to death and I have read the oracle.

Just want to make sure before I buy anything.

1:8 is optimum for 77gr bullets.  My 1:8 has been accurate with everything I've tried down to 50 grain varmint ammo.
