I have not heard anything but good things on this forum about AIM Surplus, but I would like to get some more re-assurance anyway.   I have had a Bushmaster M4 on order for almost 16 weeks.  When I ordered in November, I was told to allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.  Now I know that AIM is at the mercy of Bushmaster regarding supply, but it seems like a distributor as large as AIM would have  pretty good  communication with Bushmaster regarding delivery schedules.  Upon inquiry yesterday with AIM, I was told it could be ANOTHER 16 WEEKS!   Am I wasting my time waiting for AIM or should I be looking elsewhere?  I really hope that AIM is on the up-and-up but I'm sure you can understand my concern especially since I have never ordered from them before.  Thanks for any advice.

I've order some ammo and a Garand parts kit from them in the past, no problems.  Don't know what to tell you as far as the wait, check out the EE and try some of the other vendors on it to see if anyone can do better for you.

I waited forever for a 20" Bushmaster.  Got fed-up with it and went somewhere else and got a different manufacturer (DPMS).  I could not be happier.  It's not AIM's fault, they have always been good.  BM is in a big bind trying to get stuff out the door.  If you can't wait look elsewhere.

I've ordered from AIM.  No complaints.  Pleasant on the phone, professional too - every time.

Get an estimated shipping date - some items are VERY FAST, others like some No-Ban rifles are not available for months.

I've been very satisfied with AIM so far.  (remember, just 1 'ah shit' wipes out 10 'attaboys'.)  They have all attiboys with me

I have had good luck with AIM, assorted surplus rifles, ammo and a Stag lower. This has been over the past 2 years. I can't recall anyone saying anything bad about them on other sites. I expect they are at Bushmaster's mercy due to the current demand for parts and whole rifles. I wanted a Bushmaster but due to the wait I ended up building one with a Stag lower and Model One upper. It's a start for me, had been into AK's before. Stag lower I got from AIM and now AIM carries Stag uppers. Might be my next step.

Kinda  bummer you have had to wait so long.  I've made some purchases from them and find them to be responsive and reputable.  That was with C&R stock they had on hand.

Order larger quantites and the shipping is cheaper. I got 400 lbs. shipped for $99.
I buy C&R rifles and Large amounts of ammo from AIM and consider them to be first class.
I would'nt make a comment of the waiting, that's a personal call for you.

Have dealt with them several times. No problems. Satisfied. Usually has some decent prices.

Just got a Stag lower from AIM - only took 3-4 days.  It is difficult to understand how Bushmaster has no clue as to what their manufacturing/assembly capacity is in regards to the orders that have been placed.    This "maybe two weeks - maybe 6 months or longer" is frustrating!  It is probably much tougher on AIM (dealing with Bushmaster) then I can imagine.  When I ordered some parts from Bushmaster last week and relayed my concern, the answer was "I can't understand your situation,  we are almost caught up"!   I should have asked for their definition of "almost"!  Good people at AIM, but you can tell that the situation is starting to wear on them!

Are the uppers on AIM's site?  I can't find them, the link on tehir homepage doesn't work.
