Is there a thread that addresses this? Didn't find one in a search. Basically I'm trying to ignore the wild hair I've grown hy Sorry if this has been addressed before. |

I'm more than happy to leave well enough alone. I'd never dare to ask which is better hevy,Hey why do you think the Almighty invented knuckle draggers? We NEED others to tell us the right way to do things. Thanks. |

Perhaps reading this thread on another board will play to that wild hair or not. www.tacticalforums.com/cgi-bin/tacticalubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=56;t=000497;p=1 |
| You can compare price and features. You should also seek the advice of experienced professionals and trainers, who have seen and done it all and can tell what works and what doesn't. Beyond that, you're judt going to get opinions and opinions are like. . . . . |

A Colt 6920 will have the following over a factory standard stock Bushmaster M4 type carbine: 1/7 twist barrel to allow use of a wider range of bullet weights/lengths. A barrel that is definitely MP inspected. A side sling adaptor as factory standard. A proper height "F" marked front sight tower for use with a flattop receiver. M4 extended feed ramps. MP inspected bolt. Stiffer extractor spring. "H" buffer. Milspec dimensioned carbine receiver extension that can be used with a Crane or VLTOR stock. A pony on the side instead of a snake. Are any of the aforementioned things absolutely necessary? That's for you to decide. If your Bushmaster shoots well, functions well, and has not given you any reason to dump it, then don't. A good rifle is a good rifle no matter who makes it. Most of those featrures I listed above can be bought separately and installed by you if you want them. Personally, I think you should keep the Bushy. It sounds more than fine and it will probably do right by you. If, however, you want a second AR then you might as well add a Colt to your collection. And then an Armalite, a Rock River, an LMT, etc, etc, etc... BTW, as far as the Tactical Forums thread is concerned, one of the contributors to that thread who is an oft quoted and well respected expert admitted to me once in a correspondence that he thinks he sees more problems with Bushmasters with problems for the simple fact that there are far, far more Bushys out there than any other brand of AR. I would have to think if took a scientific method to analyzing a sampling of new Bushy and new Colt rifles, the numbers would pretty much even out. |
