Iwould like the old CAR (not 4M) style stock on my light weight carbine build.
I need a long pull length like the M4 6pos, mine measures 11in from reciever to butt.
I see Oly sells a 1in longer tube, and I know their stocks are crappy.
So has anyone used their tube and some other brand buttstock to get a long lentgh of pull with a decent fit and finish.
I think sombody posted a pic in another thread but I can't find it. Might have been Stickman but I don't remember for sure.
Or any other combos other than those rubber pads. Thanks.

Yes it was me.  I've used the extended tube without any problems, and I've also used their stocks without any wobble, breaking, or other issues.

You can get both styles of stock, M4 (CAR type) and M4 Enhanced (waffle type), from board dealer giffman.

Here is a thread where he posts pics and prices:

Ok my next question is.
What is the O.D. of a true mil-spec buffer tube vs non mil-spec?(searched did not find)
The M4 stock I have is an unknown brand got it at a gunshow the tube measures 1.171in.
Thanks.

I don't have the measurements handy, but the OD on true Mil Spec units is smaller than the aftermarket ones.  In additon, the radius where the tube meets the part that the stock locks into is smaller.

BTW, I do have the CAR stocks on hand ready for delivery.  (thanks for the plug Corey!)
