I want to replace the fixed stock of a Colt 6530. what do I exactly need?

If you are replacing only the stock itself (switching from an A2 to an A1 stock, as an example, then all you would need would be a flat-tip screwdriver.

Switching from an A1 or A2 to a telescoping stock, you would also need a 5/8ths inch wrench to remove the buffer tube, plus a telestock wrench for the lock ring for the telestock. The wrench made to work with the newer M4 stocks will also remove the A1/A2 stock's buffer tube, though.

Yes I want to switch from A2 to collapsible. So I need a stock, a buffer tube, a spring, a buffer and a lock ring.  anything else?

No, that's it. I did it myself two weeks ago. A 10 minute job, nothing to it.

The receiver end plate; you'll need one of those.

You can use the one from your A2 stock.

Will I be ok if I order it from bravo company?

You can use the one from your A2 stock.

Sorry, but the A2 stock doesn't have a seperate receiver end plate, as the stock itself acts as one (all it does mainly, is retain the takedown pin detent & spring).

I've never ordered from them, so I can't comment from personal experience, but they DO have a lot of good feedback. As long as they can accept international orders, you should be good to go with them.

thank you guys!
International orders are not a problem. I found that ADCO has good stuff also.

last question: is the buffer that comes with RRA complete kit good for 16"bbl semiauto? I ask because I read a lot of topic about H, H2, H3, etc.

Whit receiver end plate where talking about this part right?
My Colt HBAr Sporter A2 has this as a seperate part on his stock, one whitout the sling attachment of course. I took it off and used it on my Vltor stock.

You should be fine with the one supplied with the RRA kit.

One point: Be aware that when you unscrew the buffer tube, the buffer retainer will (unless you are careful) leap out of it's hole, headed for the most difficult location to reach within your house. One way to prevent this is to put some tape over it before you remove the buffer tube. A small flat-tip screwdriver is also handy for pressing the buffer retainer down into it's hole while you install the new tube.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to order a spare buffer retainer & spring when you place the order for your stock.

That's a new one on me, seriously. I've never seen an A1 or A2 stock with an end plate, except for the ones with a sling attachment. But it doesn't matter; the end plate for telescoping stocks has a notch in it that fits into a slot on the buffer tube. And, if one orders a whole stock kit, it will have all the needed parts, anyway.

Frens, have fun working on your rifle, and let us know how it turns out!
