I've read the thread about removing Y-comps on bushmasters that have two pins welded at 12 and 6o'clock postitions. My friend just purchased a bushmaster upper with a Y-comp that has a single cross pin that goes through the bottom of the brake. He wants to remove the brake and put a flash hider on it, but I don't know if the barrel is threaded underneath the brake, or if the pin is welded onto the barrel. Can anyone give me any help with this issue? BTW the barrel is 16 inches and the pin goes through from the 8 o'clock to 4 o'clock positions. Thanks in advance. tmix |
