will a KAC hanguard replacement M5 RAS fit on an Hbar 20" upper.

i tried to put it on was got really frustrated.  it wont fit

Try the site listed below with wisdom from Quarterbore.
In the lower part of the page he discusses barrel diameter specs for the M5 RAS.
There is also a PDF file listed in the article you can open for more details.

I've got mine on a full blown Colt HBAR barrelled upper and it fits fine.  Weighs a frickin' ton that HBAR.

well once again, i have proven myself stupid.  i laid it down and come back to it and no big deal

worked well.

They can be frustrating...

I've had the M4 and M5 RAS's, and they can take a bit of work to get on.  Glad you got it working though.

That's 'cause you got the little forks out of the way when you set it down .  The first one you do will drive you crazy...

Speaking from expreince only with the M4 RAS, Colt and Bushmaster HBARs aren't as thick as RRA, Oly, DPMS, whatever HBARs can be.  An RAS will defintiely work on a Colt or Bushy, but can be questionable with heavy barrels from others.
