Who makes the lightest civillian legal AR style rifle?  I saw in the Bushmaster catalog that they make one at 4 lbs.  How much does a Cavarms plastic version weigh?  Lest say in a flat top with  16" barrel.  Tom

My wife has a Bushmaster Carbon 15 "Lady" and that rifle is pretty damned light.

That being said if we had to do it again I'd buy her a CavArms. Her Carbon 15 has had several nagging issues.

I'm sure my wife would like the "Lady" Bushmaster.  What were the problems???  This year we are buying each other a new gunsafe.  The old one is over flowing!  Tom

Heard some  folks had feed ramp problems and others complaining they were same as  Hesse Arms . Not sure how much problems they have mine has worked flawlessly  since the break in of 3 30 rnd mags. It has been a good rifle  for me so far. My whole view of the light rifle ws, its a 5.56mm , why do i need a 6lb. + platform for a carbine?
