I recently purchased an older stripped Colt barrel and have a problem with the front handguard cap being twisted 180 degree's around, with the gas tube opening near the bottom. Am I missing something here, but isn't this part simply press fit and I should be able to turn it around correctly? Any suggestions on how to accomplish this task? Thanks in advance for any advise.
