[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Refinishing triangular handguards

Hello,

Has anyone refinished their handguards, espcially the early triangular ones? Any tips or ideas? How to make 'em look like new? I wonder if very fine sand paper would work, it would leave a nice matte finish as well. Any experiences?

Since they are fiberglass, all ya have to do is lightly sand to roughen up the surface enough for them to hold pain, and spray away. Matte black Krylon looks really good on 'em.
