[ARCHIVED THREAD] - M 16 Handguard

I have an A-1 with the triangular handguard. Can I put a newer type on it and if so, what do I have to change in addition?

Yes, you can change it to an A2 or something else that just replaces stock handguards. You don't have to change anything else, it will fit just fine.

Remove the old, install the new. The triangular handguards are getting scarce in good condition. Hang onto them.
