[ARCHIVED THREAD] - DPMS Barrel Finish

I just picked up a DPMS 16" heavy barrel. It looks to me like the finish is some kind of sprayed on coating rather than parkerization. Can anyone shed light on this?

***I've since found out that the coating DPMS uses is flat black teflon.

Does anyone know where this coating can be purchased for use on other barrels?

According to their catalog, their barrels are manganese phosphated.

they use both, it depends on which barrel
