NO!!!!

the MRF-MX (the 10") one is something different.

it is easy to tell them apart... just count the holes in the rail.

MRF-C    8 holes
MRF-M   12holes
MRF-MX 13 holes
the (as yet) un-named rifle length   17holes

have a good one

So, the question of the day, When and Where do we get one of these 17 holers?

Shit, does this means I have to take the damn thing off to weigh it?

Do not have any means of weighing the rail at my house, but I could not feel any noticable difference betweeen the MRF and FF RAS.  If any thing the MRF felt a hair lighter.

Troy's Official Designation:  MRF-R, then the M16A4/M203

Guess that was a tough one to figure out.

I can see your gas block underneath the handguard. Does your rifle use a standard rifle gas system?

RRA Midlength Gas System.  Had ADCO turn a RRA 18" SS 1-8 twist varmint barrel down for me.  Have not done any Chrony work yet with this barrel, so I am not sure the velocities I can safely obtain, but I am hoping 2750 fps for 77 gr loads (+/- 25FPS) and 2825 for 69 gr loads (again +/- 25 FPS).

Based off MV the 115 gr 6.8 SPC is getting from a 18" barrel , which has a midlength gas system as well,  this should not be too far off the mark.

Hope these help a little.

Velocities taken about a month ago with a 20" Colt HBAR cut to 18".

Note that the Black Hills stuff is NOT loaded anywhere near NATO pressures (mk262)

223, thats a nice looking weapon. Did you order the rifle length forend directly from Troy Industry? I can't seem to find this thing for sale anywhere.

Any dealers stocking the Troy MRF products?  I wouldn't mind picking up some other stuff while buying the MRF-C.

Thanks.

Any infor regarding weight?  I'm curious to see how it stacks up against the PRI, KAC FF, DD, and ARMS SIR.

Ordered directly from Troy (but I imagine the dealers here will have them in stock soon).   You will want to talk with Cheryl

12 1/4" long.  Really should have taken some measurement before I put it on the rifle.  My bad......

Definitely heavier than the 12.0 DD, but certainly lighter than the ARMS #59.  Best comparable weight would be to the Knights Rifle Length FF RAS and PRI.
