Smith Enterprises converted a 308/PSS Vortex to fit the 6.8SPC shoulder-muzzle dimensions for me.

Nice. Nicest F/S for the 6.8MM platform, that I've seen yet.

Where'd the mags come from?

Thanks.

I just got the Vortex on tonight.    I'll post an update when I shoot it.  I'm interested to see how much recoil it has without the OPSINC 4-port brake.

I SUSPECT YOU'LL BE SURPRISED HOW MUCH THE BRAKE DOES FOR YOU.

FULL AUTO WITH THE 6.8 SPC REQUIRES A BRAKE.

If so, I'll end up buying a QC comp...

WES,

You need to spill all you know about those mags...  Some other guy was showing off his new replacement mag bodies on another thread....  Are we on the verge of a 6.8SPC break through?

I haven't shot 6.8 full auto yet.  I have toget with my class III dealer friend.. now that I have mags, we can get organized.

I shot this a bunch with the F/H instead of the brake.   Recoil didn't seem like it was way more.  Somewhat more, yes.  It still seemed about the same as a 16" 5.56 AR with a plain muzzle shooting hot Q3131A.

AT A CYCLIC RATE OF APPROX 750 RD/MIN, THAT "LITTLE MORE" RECOIL DOES SEEM TO ADD UP.

FORTUNATELY, THERE'S NOW AN M.S.T.N. "QUIET CONTROL" BRAKE FOR THE 6.8 SPC COMING SOON.
