| Howdy to one and all(yes I'm a newby) I am putting together an upper and was wondering about the quality of the chrome lining on the RRA bbls. Any input would be appreciated-Thanks Echo154 |

It has been posted that Wilson is the supplier. And, because, I am a father of three daughters and easily confused.........I believe I saw an ad that stated Wilson as the supplier. Can't swear on it, sorry. Dave S Just had to check RRA's site.............I AM CORRECT {it wasn't chemical use in my youth delusions }

The only "diaappointment " I've had with the RR chrome lined barrel I bought and pais the extra for, was that it wasn't chrome lined, and I didn't notice it until after I'd installed the damn thing, so I couldn't return it. Never even got the extra bucks I'd paid for the chrome lining back![]() On the plus side, it shoots well, but I'll never do business w/that supplier again. No, I won't post the name, because it's an outfit that generally has a good rep. It's just that they screwed up one time---and I got to be the screwee that year. |
| They are good, quality barrels. Some people complain that it's not Mil-spec steel. Keep in mind that Armalite and everyone else (besides Colt and Bushy) also use 4140 steel. There's no prblems with that so long as you're not shooting full auto on it. I have no complaints, other than the fact that the R4 (16" M4, press-on Fake Flash Hider) is the only one that they offer in a chrome-lined barrel. You can get one in 14.5" with an added brake from one fo the dealers though. I have mine in the full 16" with the sissy fake hider, but I like it. It protects the crown and doesn't look too terribly bad. |
