Hi guys, I own a Colt Match Target Competition HBAR & a Colt Match Target M4 Carbine, I have been looking for a removable front sight (+ railed gas block) or a fold down front sight,  I would like to find one that uses the factory pins rather than setscrews or that clamps but I haven’t been able too.

If there are not any that uses the pins or there not very good, what is the best setup I can get?

Just an FYI: If you have a magnified scope you will not be able to see the front sight when viewing through the scope. The magnification blurs it out.

One set of options, might not be the best.

From Bushmaster.com

3-Rail Gas Block

Detachable Front Sight (folding)

Both as a Package Deal

The gas block might be one of your only choices, but there are many detachable front sights on the market.

Search around.

GG&G also makes a folding front sight for railed gas blocks:

Knights does as well:

There seems to be a lot  of variation in where the taper pins are located, and I think that's why many FSB/gas block makers go with either the set screws or cross bolts.

I'd go with a one-piece folding front sight base, rather than a railed gas block + detachable sight.
They're generally lighter and less bulky, and removing a detachable front sight may also change the  weapon's POI.

Doesn't the PRI folding sight use aluminum for the sight housing and steel for the actual gas block? Kinda curious, at this point I'm torn between the PRI and the YHM which I believe to be all steel(?).
