[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt 6601C

Well,my dad was wondering if my COLT 6601C Match Target HBar has a chrome lined barrel.He says it is really shiny inside and it was made in 2002.Help me out!!

He needs to look at the barrel markings. There should be a "C" at the extreme left of the line. That stands for Colt. If there is another "C", or if the barrel is marked "chrome bore" then it's chromed. If not, it isn't.

The perceived notion that chrome lining isn't as accurate as a bare bore. It is after all, a "Match" model. They do chrome line the chamber, though, which increases reliability.

You should have goten the 6400C.

You could always get a replacement upper from someplace like SAW. You might probably do that after the ban anyway. You might as well get a genuine Colt upper for your Colt lower from a reliable source.
