Something dawned on me today.  In all the pictures I've seen on the TV, magazines, etc about the war, I don't think I once saw an SPR being used by a soldier, marine, airman, or seaman.  Alot of m4's.  I've even seen that Designated marksman M-16 with the free floating barrel and the 4 power trijicon on the tv.    Saw that first in SOF mag.  Seen different sights.  I saw some sniper with a guille suit on going up stairs with what looked like a .308 AR set up.  Maybe the knight armament one.  But I don't think I once saw an SPR set up.  Are civilians the only one's putting SPR's together?  I read an article about a year ago in SOF about one of the branch's using the SPR with a 20" barrel as a sniper rifle and the 77 grain bullets.  They had like a 2.5 x 10 scope on it with a bipod.  It was beautiful.   Are you guys with me or have I just not watched enough?

SEVERAL HUNDRED SPR'S HAVE BEEN BUILT AND SENT INTO THE FIELD.

YOU MAY NEVER SEE ONE ON T.V.

NEWS REPORTERS TYPICALLY DO NOT ACCOMPANY TIER ONE ASSETS ON MISSIONS. THAT'S WHY.

As Wes said the Mk12 SPR's are USSOC items - they tend to be camera shy...

I've seen yours around here though.  Do you know which article I'm talking about in SOF?  I forget which issue it was.  Was that your spr set up?  The ones I've seen from your company has that rounder, blacker handguard, while the one I'm talking about was boxie and you could kind of see through it.  Regardless they both are nice. Good job.

I'm not in the military so I don't know what a tier one asset is.  It sounds dangerous though!!  I don't get the full understanding of what you're saying without assuming a whole bunch of stuff.  Could you please enlighten me Wes?

ricker, I forgot about that one.  I have that issue also.  But still, I don't see them that much.

Sara Jane is certainly a nice looking rifle.

Hey Wes, I've heard things about these suppressed versions.  Do those guys actually use them with subsonic ammo?  Or do they just use them to deaden the noise a little?  Or both?

While not Wes...

Subsonic 5.56mm is not a real option.  With Mk262 77gr the suppressor removes the muzzle blast - leaving only bullet flight noise (for the most part) thus traditional methods (crack thump) of locating shooters is impossible (no thump) as well muzzle flash at night is eliminated making a PEQ-2A equipt suppressed weapon ownign the night as it were.

Now that is an awesome picture.  I have never seen someone using a KAC FF RAS with an ARMS #38.  Interesting......

Yeah I noticed that but I figured he did so because that KAC 600m BUIS may not fit behind the ARMS #38.  At least I would think it wouldn't....

IT won't (thats what dremel cutting wheels are for )  but it won't zero on that #38

Yeah it would be hell to zero that set-up.  Unless he puts an ARMS Spacer (1/2?) under that KAC folding front sight.

Did you know it was Airsoft, that made the SPR known to the world? Just bum luck that they were in the Phillipines for a photo shoot and happend across some boys with the SPRs.
