Have any of you had any experience with the Ace K grip.  Its pretty much a shorter front verticle grip.  Anyway let me know what you think about it.  Is it good is it bad, whats the story i havent heard of too many people using them and i think it looks pretty good. Major

The only reason I didn't get one is because it has no storage compartment. I wouldn't worry about the quality of manufacture, though, as ACE makes good stuff.

The guy who owns the company is top-notch, too. Over the phone, I ordered a stock for a DR200 back when he was a one-man show, and he had it made & sent between Saturday and Thursday.

I like the looks of it and the smaller size makes sense.  When i do end up geting it ill have to write up something and let people know how they are.  Wonder how slick they get when your hands start sweating?  May have to just wear my shooting gloves if its a problem.

I love the shape of the ACE, very HKish.  I just don't trust the materials.  KAC originally made their foregrips out of Delrin and had some breakage issues under hard use.  They since switched.  The retaining screws are plastic too on the ACE.

Of course if you're not going to be smashing it around you'll probably be okay.  Most folks around here have an irrational fetish for bulletproof ruggedness.  I think this is why you don't see or hear about many ACE VFG's on this board.  Most will steer you toward a KAC, GGG, TangoDown or Deiter, but its up to you!

I've got one on my RRA.  I also bought the rail that they sell.  I really like the feel of the grip.  It's not polished real smooth, so slippage shouldn't be a problem.  My rail now has a crack in it, not sure how it cracked because I haven't used it a lot.  It could have cracked from sitting in the trunk of the squad, especially when it got down around -20 below.  I'll hae to give ACE a call.  I have some pictures of it mounted on my rifle if you're interested.

I got one at the 2003 SHOT Show. I love the shape and size. Mine broke trying to put it on my rail. I called and told the owner about it, but had no luck getting a replacement. I did buy it at the show at a reduced price. Maybe that was the issue. I don't know. I do not trust the delrin material for this product due to the thin areas at the grooves in the grip. This is where mine broke. This would be an awesome product if machined out of aluminum. I have no problem giving up possible storage for the compact size.

Here's a couple of pictures of the K Grip on my rifle.  When I had ordered it, I asked about the plastic screws, and was told that they use them so they don't wreck the finish on the steel handguards.  You can use steel screws to mount it also.
