Anyone have any feedback on these. I want to put a tactical type muzzle brake on my HB Bushmaster shorty and Wilson so far is the only one that comes in at less tahn $100- installed. My second choice is Clark Custom's or EGW's bird cage type both which would run over $100-. |

KKF does them for about the same as Wilson and has a better design of brake. Go to the Industry board and scroll down to Kurts Kustom Firearms. Or if you've got a drill and a welder then you could just order whatever brake you want and attach it yourself. Edited to add "Welome to the forums" |

I would give a double thumbs down to the Wilson brake. I have used the Kurts Kustom Brakes and they perform much better. For a review of numberous different muzzle brakes to include the Wilson and Kurts Kustom check here: http://coloradoshooting.org/muzzle.htm |

A review of the Generation 2 EGW A2 comp can be found at this link: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=12&t=183866 If you are looking for performance from a brake the EGW A2 comp has everything else beat hands down...In all fairness I have no trigger time with the Clark brake that you mentioned but I have had Wilson brakes on 2 different guns...I've had 5 or 6 of the Kurts Kustom in both A2 and A3 configuratoin...and I've currently got 3 EGW A2 comps on 3 different guns... If you go with the EGW and have an 20" barrel make sure that you get the model that is specifically made for the 20" barrel...same goes for the 16" barrel....it does make a difference in performance... |
