What is the difference? do the chrome moly barrels have the same long service life that the Chrome-lined ones do? Thanks, and please excuse my n00bness! |

To help with the term better in general terms. Chrome lined will last alot longer, however a good chromemoly will be a tad more acurate until it wears. The chrome cleans much easier and is more corrosion resistant. Alot of these guys can get it down to thousands of rounds and group differences by manufacturer. For the average shooter that takes care of his weapon, you would not know the difference. That being said most AFCOMERS are not average and buy their ammo by the case and often. Have both and like both. Tj |

All (non-stainless) barrels are chrome moly. The good chrome moly barrels are chrome lined... Sadly it comes down this: Selling a barrel as a 'chrome moly' is a way vendors try to trick the uninformed consumer into thinking they are getting a chrome lined barrel. |

Correct, they are being cheap asses to save money and think that we will not care. Chrome lined will last far longer and be more reliable. |
