[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Weapon Balance

I've not seen any discussion about weapon balance. I've got a configuration in mind but am concerned about the weight distribution. Anyone else have this concern? If so, where is ideal center of gravity with a full 30-round clip? Seems to me that it is somewhere between the trigger and the center of the magazine well. Any thoughts?

Depends on the overall length of the weapon. My carbine with a 16" pencil barrel should have a balance point farther to the rear than a varmint rig with a 24" bull barrel.

But somewhere around the mag well is about right on most weapons.
