The YHM Specter kit has caught my eye. It seems like a really good deal: gas block, 4 rail FF tube, flip up front site, sling swivel, and installation on my upper for $228 plus shipping. Have any of you had YHM do any work on your uppers? How does the Specter compare to similarly priced rail systems?

 Hi Offspring,
I purchased the Specter Kit about a month ago,
and I like it.As I live next door to YHM in CT,I was able to take a ride up to check them out.I was made to feel at home and was able to check out and handle about everything in their catalog.Thats when I was introduced to the Specter Kit.It was perfect for me as the front fold down sight allowed a clear view through my EOtech. They did the installation while I got a tour of their plant, very interesting, they make alot of stuff, including government stuff. My AR also had to have their skelotonized stock. They make well made, practical products, and their prices are reasonable. Thanks again to Paul
and Jay at YHM for your time and patience(it took me along time to make up my mind which forearm I wanted)
                  Hope this helps

Nice looking. I wish YHM offered their stock in a shorter version. Looks like I will have to send my upper in to get the specter installed. Now I just have to decide if I want the lightweight or the standard forearm.

Man, I was just commenting on this system on another thread, then did a search and found this thread.  That appears to be exactly what I'm looking for.  I have a YHM FF quadrail already that I like.

The only thing I wonder about is whether or not this can break (unscrew) loose after repeated firing.  I installed mine myself and perhaps I'll drill a hole on the bottom and install a set screw to make sure it doesn't go anywhere.

Thanks for the pics, they help.  Saved for future reference.
