Hello.  I have a couple of questions about the SIR #58-MOD.  How much more does it weigh than the #46M?  Is the #58-MOD a slim line SIR?  Can the upper removable PEQ-2 rail from a #46 SIR be mounted onto the #58-MOD?  I like to put my Aimpoint further forward.  Thank you for any help and suggestions that you give me.

I don't know the wt's., but I don't think it would be that much difference since the 46 uses the reversable rail and the 58MOD doesn't, plus a bi-level wt. a less. You can mount the Aimpoint out front too, and just requires a spacer. All the SIR's except the #45 are slim line.

How much more then a #46 I don't know. but it is the slim line version so it should be about the same as a standard #45.

The top rail on the #45 will fit on the top rail section, but you will have to buy it as an option.

Hope this helps.

If what you want is to mount the Aimpoint further forward you can use the # 50 extended rail that has no PEQ2 mount on the other side.

Would you happen to know where I can purchase just the extended rail from the #50?  Thanks again.

The top forward reversible rails of the 45 and 46 are the same, but the top forward rail of the bi-level models are different, as they do not have the PEQ-2 laser and 1913 dual interface. The bi-level and 45 and 46 look and function the same as far as the 1913 forward rail, but do not interchange. All the bi-level models interchange with the the same forward top rails.
