| Any opinions on this grip? It is almost never mentioned or pictured on rail systems (that I have seen). The newer more vertical version can accept any aftermarket grip, correct? With the SWAN throw lever it has arguably the best attachment method in the market. Just curious as to why all the "broomhandles" out there are the favorite. |

I like it. I had the newer version, and yes you can switch out the grip. I have a ton of pics I've collected from here, and a lot of members have switched out to green grips, Hogues, TangoDowns, ErgoGrips, etc. But everyone has different needs, and for me the newer version was too long and too ugly. I sold and bought an older original version, which cuts into the top of the grip. Also, the angle is swept back more, not as comfortable especially with that A2 finger groove. I think ARMS's move to the newer style was simply because it was easier to manufacture (no cutting required to the grip). YMMV |
| First I got the Fobus and didn't like it (turns out, the ARMS suffers from the same things I didn't like about the FOBUS). Then I found an ARMS for a steal of a price and got it, but I don't like it either. The finger grooves felt goofy as they did not fit the angle of my grip, so I gound them off. Much better but still the angle of the grip and the blockiness of the grip just feels odd to me. I retired the ARMS and got the Tango Down, much better. I finally found one I can live with. |
