While browsing the net, I came across JP's bolt carriers in both aluminum & stainless steel.  Any one have any opinions or comments on making bolt carriers out of those materials?

The Low Mass Operating System from JP rifles is not a stand alone upgrade. 20" minumum barrel length, adjustable gas system, lightened hammer and reduced power springs are needed. Carrier will not last long with full weight hammer and full gas pressure. This is mainly a competition set-up.

The SS BC looks like a good idea, if they made one for a 16 I'ld be inclined to try it out.

I don't need higher performance for my semi-auto guns.

Got one in mine(tactical/stainless), no problems or failures.
SETUP:
- Krieger Carbine 16" barrel 1-9
- J.P. adjustable gas block
- J.P. SS Bolt Carrier group (not aluminum)
- J.P. speed hammer/fire control package 3.5lb SS trigger.
I've only fired Black Hills and Wal mart white box winchester 55gr.  Absolutely no failure to feed or extract.  I couldn't help myself and dumped 3 20 round mags as fast as I could, w/ the walmart stuff, again no problems.  Total ammo through my gun is about 400 rounds of Black hills 60gr + 400+rounds of the wal mart winchester 55gr ammo.

I'm inclined to think Green0 meant 16 as in "M16", meaning full-auto...His previous posts mention a lot of fast multi-mag shooting...And the M16 carrier is different from the semi auto carrier...
