Just curious about putting a bayonet on a preban/postban after next year M4 profile barrel. Since the Phantom FS is about 2 inches long to make the M4 barrel over 16 inces, what does the bayonet look like with it on? Does it fit correctly or not?

No problem with either Phantom or Vortex, I don't think the length of the flash suppressor itself has anything to do with it, as long as its diameter hasn't been changed.

The bayonet fits perfectly, as the Phantom and Vortex FSs are of NATO-standard 22mm diameter.  However, as you would expect, the FS extends an extra .5" over the top (spine) of the blade compared to an A2 FS.
