I recently posted a topic about poor accuracy I had experienced with military ball in a 14.5 Bushmaster HBAR barrel with 1/9 twist.

I was getting 4MOA groups.

I added a Harris tilting "Std L" Bi-pod (with the ARMS throwlever from MSTN) and got rid of the sand bags and changed from No-name green laquered primer military ball to the still cheap .55grain Remington UMC and groups at 100yds:

Shrank to a repeatable 3/4-1MOA

I was shocked (completely expecting the same 4MOA groups I had encountered before)

I guess the moral for me is not to expect much out of surplus ball ammo
