| Looking at getting a DPMS DCM complete upper and wondering how they compare to the rest of the crowd. Anyone have any input or experience with the DPMS DCM upper? |

According to John Holliger at White Oak Precision, they are not one of the better ones out there. John is one of the top gunsmiths in highpower rifles. I would trust his opinion over a lot of others. Also, to those that sell them, they are the best. Makes sense, you don't go to the Ford dealer and have him tell you a Chevy is better. As for better, I would go with either the Bushmaster or Rock River with the nod going to the Rock River. I will also tell you that as far as what is on the firing line you do not see many DPMS uppers/rifles there. That is for a reason. Personally, I have no vested interest to tell you one is better than the other. I am just telling you what I see and what I hear from those that work on them and whose opinion I (and others) value. |
| Thanks for the feedback. I havn't shot service rifle matches in about 14 years and wanted to get back into it and get my son started as he is older enough now. I had packed my guns away when the kids were born. I would love to hear from more people on this board. |

You need to post this question over on the competitions board where there are highpower shooters who will give you feedback. If you want to ask something about highpower it is always wise to ask those who actually shoot it. http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=1&f=10 |
