Does Wilson make the barrels for fulton armory? Someone told me they did. I thought that wilson made them for RRA? Anyway I have a lower from fulton armory and was looking at uppers from fulton armory, RRA, and BM. Anyone know how the uppers from RRA and BM will fit on a lower from fulton armory?
Thanks

American Spirit Arms www.gunkits.com sells upper with either Harris or Wilon barrel.  So that means they do make barrels.

www.wilsonarms.com, the barrel and barrel blank manufacturer, is NOT the same company as www.wilsoncombat.com, the 1911 and AR15 custom maker.

Many AR makers make their barrels from Wilson Arms barrel blanks of various grades.

Hi Seimper & Group!

Clint here, the owner of Fulton Armory.

BTW, before I forget, everyone, please feel free to call me at the shop if I can be of assistance. My little company has only 5 employees, so we cannot market/mine this incredible AR15.com group the way many do.

Yes, we do have Wilson Arms (not the wilson of .45 and very lately ar15 claim) make some of our barrels (and, we use Krieger, and Douglas as well), and to our very specific specifications. Always keep in mind, the characteristics of any good/wonderful barrel blank (very uniform and stress free) is not necessarily maintained throughout the barrel contouring/manufacturing process. We have a FAQ re barrels on our web site if you'd like to take a look.

Wilson Arms makes many, many barrel _blanks_ for the industry, and even, some finished barrels, for those willing to pay the higher prices to have them finished carefully/slowly by them. We do, as they meet our spec's, incredibly well.

Re Fulton Armory lowers, yes, they will fit BM lowers (our lower receiver contractor has made many BM lowers :), RR, AL, ... ANY GI to print lower :)

There seems to be this constant thread that brand company X or Y makes a better this or that.

None of the companies you all know make anything. They are all made by sub contractors.

The really big secret is, what subs?????

There are two kinds of subs:

USGI qualified Co's (Fulton Armory uses such, as do a very few others) and, other commercial outfits whose parts vary tremendously re material, heat treat, geometry, quality & price.
That is, they do NOT meet the spec's called out in the original drawings. But hey, they are less expensive.

For those interested in the unique Fulton Armory AR15 platforms, and the total support of the AR15, please take a moment to view our website at the url below. We cannot afford to fight the big dogs in the rags ad wars.

Hope this helps.

I purchased one of Fulton's basic M4 style uppers last February and am very pleased with its fit, finish and overall quality.  It works equally well with both my BM and RRA lowers.  I haven't recorded any groups yet, but I am expecting very good things based on how it shot during the break-in period.

I enjoyed working with Clint's group on this.  They seemed very knowledgable and the turn around time was better than I expected from a smaller shop.  They also let me send the upper back and adjusted the barrel indexing to match my BM carry handle at no charge (two clicks or less either way to zero windage depending on ammo used).  Great customer service[:D]

At the time I ordered getting a chrome lined barrel was not an option, so you will want to explore that possibility if chrome lining is important to you.  Also, if you are going to really trick one out. look at some of the awesome packages on the website first!
