| I have touched off a fair number of AR triggers, and some are heavier than others. Worst one was by far on a Sendra I tied. I swear, you;d think the safety was on... But 12lbs sounds like a little much. Around 8lbs is a little more common. I have felt standard stock triggers down to about 5lbs, but never any/much lighter than that really. If you have a problem with a heavy trigger, and I dont blame you at all, the one Bushmaster will likely replace it with probably wont excite you either. Consider upgrading to a Accuracy Speaks trigger. At the very least, you could probably get one of JP Enterprises yellow trigger springs. That will probably lighten things up quite noticably. |

The vast majority of ARs from all companies come with standard military triggers, which are in the 8 lb. range. These triggers are very reliable, even under harsh conditions, but obviously they aren't match triggers. If a match trigger is what you want, you'll need to buy one. -Troy |
