| Ok My buddy has a Pre ban ASA CAR 15With A Removable Carry handle. The Upper is a model 1 And the Carry Handle is a Bushmaster. WellM y ? is He is Interested in Trading Me tha tRiflr for my Kimber Custom LE In Stainless 45acp. My kimber has maybe 200 rounds through it and needs Nothing. The Car 1 5He has haas many rounds through it and needs the barrel tightend It is loose. He has shot it a few rounds like this around 50 i would say. Do u think that this would be a Worth while trade??? A it is a true pre ban and Is a nice shooter When i have shot it. The loose barrel bothers me Though. What would this Car 15 Pre ban Be worth ??? | You can't tighten a barrel. If it's "loose' and can't group, you need a new barrel. Depending on the quality of barrel, you are looking @ maybe $400-$600 installed. Some people think a pre-ban is worth a premium, I don't, especially for a "parts" gun. You can buy a new DPMS or BM for $650-$750. What's your Kimber worth? |

There are no ASA pre-ban rifles. ASA didn't start making lowers until 1996. If this rifle is in "pre-ban" configuration, it is an illegal "semi-automatic assault weapon" and a potential federal felony. In case you don't believe me, call ASA yourself and ask them. -Troy |
