The original Colt 4 pos, is clearly superior to the other aftermarket telestocks. However, when it comes to the new style, ribbed telestocks.... ...is the Colt version better? In fit and finish, maybe. But what about the rest? 6 positions are better than 4. The pivoting sling swivel on the RRA/Bushmaster/etc is a great feature. When will they get it right? |

I have the RRA and the Colt ribbed 4 position stocks, the Colt model is better made in fit and finish. I have a GG&G receiver end plate sling adapter and don't need or use the sling thingie mounted on the stock itself, but personally I could do without the pivoting part if I do use it. I'd welcome the 6 position, since the ACOG TA01NSN's eye relief is short and I frequently set my stock to its 3rd position to get a better sight picture, but the 3rd position is a little too close, if there's something in between it'd be great. I think I'm just being picky, compared to a real folding stock that folds to the left or right that gives you NO length of pull options, 4 position is 400% improvement |
