Here's how I'd rank the ones I have:
1. Aero Breach 2. LMT ambi 3. Radian Raptor 4. DD ambi 5. KAC ambi 6. Wilson ambi 7. SIG ambi |

Quoted: Overall, I think the stock charging handle is the best. I find the others can lead to ripped fingers and can be a little too 'snaggy'. View Quote How were you ripping fingers? Were you overextending your finger past the forward assist and getting your nail caught underneath? That could happen with the stock too if that's the case then. And what was being snagged exactly? The only reason I went from a regular Raptor to the Raptor SL was because of form and not for function meaning no snagging at all. |

As a lefty I jumped all in on the Radian Raptors when they first hit. Just wish they did a bit better on the gas. The new Silencerco gdch does peak my interest.

Have used many mentioned here, but my go to handle is the PRI M84 Military Big Latch. Use it on all my SBRs and now replacing all my other AR handles with that one.

For best overall I would have to say the PRI Gasbuster. It's tough, comfortable and works well to mitigate gas. Especially with the gasket sealer trick. Close second is the Geissele Airbornes if ambi is required. most of my magnified optic wearing rifles have the Airbornes. Every new rifle build gets the gasbuster. I have never found an occasion to use the ambi features.

Quoted: surprised the FCD ACF hasn’t been mentioned. Ambi, good for mortaring, solid roll pins, good gas mitigation. https://www.forwardcontrolsdesign.com/assets/images/acf.jpg ETA: no affiliation View Quote I've been really underwhelmed by all of their products and didn't want to shell out the extra cash over the Raptor which is my current favorite. I've got their 83.00 selector, the 18.00 mag button and the 30.00 takedown pins and don't love any of it so unless I'm able to try one out I'm not willing to take the chance. |

More people would agree if they were more….available. |

I've got a couple Gs and one Raptor but I was gifted a DD "Grip-N-Rip" (I think) and its fantastic suppressed.

|
I’m a big fan of the Radian Raptor, but I haven’t tried a Geissele yet.

+1
All the others are bulky,,,, never had any problems with standard charging handles. |
|
PRI is my favorite but is a bit stabby in the sternum. I will try the FCD on the next build

There are scenarios where the new design won't charge if you try to deploy it the wrong way. Sold them all and looked for the now discontinued gen2's |

Best is fairly subjective and when it comes to any of the quality brands (Geissele, Radian, PRI, BCM, etc.), mostly a matter of personal preference. They will all do the job required of the part.
For all or primarily suppressed shooting, I prefer the PRI Gas Buster. |
|
|
I like PRI gas busters or USGI with a strike or PRI latch. I think the next time I need one it will be an FCD, I like the design and it isn’t styled for the 4 door wrangler gun bro crowd.

The original BCM mid size was great, the new one feels wimpy.
Fortis Hammer. |

Strike Latchless for small frame ARs; Raptor for large frame.

The last few Geissele ACH I bought from Brownells on there Easter sale. EDIT- also check out the EE, I sold a bunch of new Radian Raptors for $60-$65 ea Attached File |

My Top 3 for gasbusting:
FCD ACF PRi Gasbuster Radian SD/SL If you don't need gasbusting the Knights handles are awesome. Love the big flat latches. I thought the G handles were very snaggy - even on the airborne ones. Havent tried any other brands... |
|
|
I prefer the Geissele SCH to the ACH. The Armageddon GMS Gen2 is my favorite, works great with a suppressor. The Radian Raptors are nice too.

Old BCM was best, by far.
Current BCM…no. I think old was a Vltor. |
